Mackinac Island-Part 1

On Saturday we spent the day at Mackinac Island. It is a very pretty island!!! There are no motorized vehicles there except I think there might be a firetruck and an ambulance. The only transportation is bikes or walking. We were a little too late for the 10:30 ferry and so we had about an hour until the next one came. So,we walked out on a pier a little bit.

Now,who would want a ride on this one????
Gracie taking a picture(with binoculars) of Dad and Jonathan....
Waiting for the ferry....
This was our ferry

Enjoying the ride!!!! It was Awesome!!

Mackinac Bridge
.....and to think that I drove across there (when I see the picture I can hardly believe it)

We took some of our own bikes along and then rented a couple..
(Mom was a little spoiled;she had a 3-wheeler :)

There was a"Butterfly House"on the island that had like a little sanctuary for butterflies...
This is where all the cocoons usually are. They said that sometimes there can be as many as 700 cocoons in there. (Amazing!!!)

One butterfly even landed on Leanna's sweater...
Gracie with her binoculars/camera....

I decided to split the Mackinac Island posts in 2 parts since it would be a very long....
So,coming up next-Mackinac Island-Part 2 (the bike ride)
Hope you are all having a Blessed week!!!
